BSB: Team Repli-Cast UK Release Changed Line Up For 2009 Relentless British 125GP

Repli-Cast UK Racing announce comfirmed team line up for 2009

Team Repli-Cast 2009Gary Dawson, Team Manager of Team Repli-Cast UK has released details of the final rider line up for their assault on the 2009 Relentless British 125GP. Robbie Stewart will join Adam Blacklock and Kasey Wyatt.

Following a successful testing program in Cartagena, the team are confident that they are going to raise a few eyebrows this year as all the riders were putting in consistent lap times at the top of the timesheet during recent testing in Spain.

Robbie Stewart joins Repli-Cast following a mixed season in the European Superstock series with factory backed Team Triumph SC that runs alongside the World Superbike Championship. He wanted to return to the BSB as well as 125 GP Racing scene as his main passion is two stroke Racing. He chose Team Repli-Cast as thats where he always wanted to be in 2008 and wanted to aim for the CEV Spanish 125 Championship but unfortunately the ride was given to Alec Wright.

Adam Blacklock

The 14 year old ex Redbull Rookie from Scotland will join the team full time for 2009 and has been testing his new engine following his entry to the British Championship. Adam showed great promise at the end of last season while riding a pretty much stock bike consistently in the top half of the field. He showed the team his natural talent by finishing in the top 10 at Silverstone.

This was no mean achievement considering he had never seen the circuit before and he had never even seen the track before the event, never mind race against some of the top riders in this country.

Kasey Wyatt

15 year old Kasey Wyatt from Anerley, South London, or Tadpole as he’s more fondly known, started racing at the tender age of 10 years old. Since then his career has seen him show great promise as he’s moved up through Mini-moto racing, the Conti Cup, Jawa 70cc Championship, Aprilia 125 Superteen Championship, culminating in an opportunity to compete on a kitted Honda RS125 GP bike in 2008.

Onboard the privately run Honda GP bike he had a surge of success late on in the 2008 season, including a podium at the hotly contested Race of the Year, putting him in a perfect position to move up to the next level at BSB.

Kasey is definitely a young British prospect for the future.

Robbie Stewart

Former British 125GP runner-up Robbie Stewart will return to the championship with the Repli-Cast Racing team this season after a season Europe during 2008 that he would rather forget

The ex-KRP Honda man joined SC Triumph last year for a full assault on the European Superstock 600 Championship but due to funding problems, the team was never really on the pace and didn’t even compete for the last two rounds.

“It all started well but then just seemed to go wrong. We struggled with parts and money, and then just didn’t make it to the final two rounds, which was really disappointing,” said the Scotsman.

After contacting Gary at Repli-Cast, a deal was done to ride the New Repli-Cast 125 GP Bike and I’m looking so forward to getting back on a 125 with this team. Gary offered me a ride with the team back in 2006 at silverstone where I qualified 3rd. Unfortunately I was brought down in the race but the bike was amazing and im sure we would have been on the podium.

“I like riding the smaller bikes and I know all the tracks, I just need to lose a bit of the muscle I built up riding the 600, so I’ll just have to stick to cardio stuff in the gym and keep away from the weight training.”

Gary Dawson – Team Manager

“We are all very excited here at Team Repli-Cast following testing in Spain and the BSB Test at Brands Hatch. All 3 Riders have worked so hard over the winter on their fitness training and it clearly shows in their lap times.”

“We also have Stewart Finnlay signed up for 2009 but at the moment he his having medical treatment for a old injury but will be back with the Team as soon as he is 100% fit”.

“We all wish him well and look forward to seeing him back in the seat. Just bring on the season now and we wish everyone a safe and rewarding Year”.
