First official photo’s of the 2010 Rizla Suzuki GSV-R MotoGP bike released today
The first official images of the Troy Lee Designs clad Suzuki GSV-R that Loris Capirossi and Alvaro Bautista will race for the 2010 season have been released following a press embargo until 10.00 am (GMT).
I sat in anticipation following the notification email, click, click, click on the Suzuki MotoGP site’s refresh button and at the stroke of 10.00 am…..Bang!!………… we get…………wait for it…………..a full set of………….4 (yes four!) medium resolution photo’s showing left and right three quarter views of both riders bikes (that’s assuming they didn’t swap the rider decals around in the studio). No write up but a simple page detailing the technical specifications.
Was it worth the wait? To be honest, I was a bit disappointed (read, pissed off). Looking forward to some vision of technical design normally associated with Troy Lee’s usual efforts and what do we get?
A turquoise blue Suzuki GSV-R with decals and a darker blue “go faster” stripe on it! And unless you have pictures of this and last years bike side by side, its hard to tell the difference, but very pretty all the same. I did feel like the child that was expecting an Xbox for Christmas and received a colouring book and crayons instead though!
Anyhow, here it is so that you can make up your own minds. I do hope they have a bit more success in 2010 with it though.
