RideSafe BackSafe announce North West Rider Assessment Days for 2011
Rider assessment dates confirmed for 2011 season
RideSafe BackSafe and the IAM have confirmed the first dates for their successful North West Rider Assessment Days for 2011. The one-day courses incorporate an interactive classroom-style session in the morning, followed by lunch and an afternoon of ride-outs with the local IAM observers. The day finishes with one-to-one assessments to help each motorcyclist improve his or her own skill levels.
The cost remains the same as last year at just £20 and this includes lunch and drinks. Motorcyclists must have a full licence, a road-worthy machine and they should also take their licence, insurance details and MOT if the bike requires it on the day. Anyone who signs up for the IAM’s own Skill For Life course on the day will attract a £20 discount off of the usual £139 fee and this effectively makes the RideSafe BackSafe day free!
The confirmed dates are all Saturdays; on 26th March, 16th April, 21st May and 18th June and will be based at the Hartwood Hall Hotel on the A6 on the northern edge of Chorley in Lancashire. Start time is 9.30am and the day usually finishes at about 3.30pm.
Bookings are taken on a first-come-first-served basis and numbers will be limited. Bookings can be made at info@ridesafebacksafe.co.uk or by calling Mandi Doyle on (01584) 881 651.
RideSafe BackSafe will confirm further dates at the same venue, at one per month through until October. It is also hoping to expand the scheme with additional dates at a new venue in central Cumbria. For more information, go to www.ridesafebacksafe.co.uk
